Celtic Celebration held in...France...with narration in French.
Riverdance....check out the music and the moves....could you dance like this?
Celtic Music...... closely linked with what was reinvented here in the Appalachian Region of U.S.A....BLueGRass.
Here is more from the group "Celtic Woman"...includes an entire orchestra and choir! They are a group of Ireland, but in addition to traditional Celtic tunes they also sing "covers". :)
Here's that BLueGRass I was talking about.... yep...this is related to celtic music from those who settled in the mountains and worked, mainly, in the coal mines. The quickness of the beat reminds you of the feet from the folks in the "Riverdance" group and the rifts up and down each of the instruments is similar to that which you find in Celtic music.
Here's an OLD video...it shows Clogging and there's a live blue grass band ....this style of dancing goes with BlueGrass Music. It should also remind you of what you saw the group, Riverdance, do earlier on this page. There are lots of similarities in the style of steps and height of the steps. In this video, the dancers dance in isolation and with partners. They keep their upper bodies still, for the most part, just like the folks in with the Riverdance Group. You can still find people who Clog in today's time.
